The scope of infrastructure works well underway with the first ship lift positioned
in November 2006 and the excavation for the 2nd lift nearing completion. Piling works for both the 11-level Central Administration Building and the three-level Shiplift Control Tower, that will oversee the complete shiplift facilities, have been completed.
