Fishermen Drown During Rescue Effort

Thirteen fishermen drowned off Mauritania last week hunting for a colleague who had fallen from another boat earlier, port sources in the northern port of Nouadhibou said. Another 10 people, both Mauritanians and Senegalese, fell from the rescue boat but were pulled from the sea, which has been exceptionally rough in recent days, the sources added.
