FMC to Build, Test Marine Loading Arms

Thursday, August 31, 2006
FMC Technologies began the building and testing of marine loading arms at its Saltillo facility to help meet growing demand from North and South America. On August 30, the company tested liquefied natural gas loading arms to potential clients. The test was done with an arm that is part of a four-piece order being sent to the Pacific coast of Mexico. The FMC plant in Saltillo has about 250 workers. According to FMC, while this first marine loading arm contract won't generate new jobs, future contracts likely will. (Source: Daily Journal)
