South China Shipyard (SCS) in is putting the final touches on a sturdy new anchor-handling tug for delivery to Italian buyers. The 42 by 11-meter vessel is powered by a pair of 60 liter V-16 Cummins QSK60 main engines. Each engine delivers 2200 hpat 1800 RPM into Reintjes WAF763 gears with 5.75:1 ratios and four-blade fixed-pitch propellers in nozzles. Electrical needs are met by a pair of Cummins QSM11 powered 240 Kw generators with a harbor set that is a Cummins-powered 60 KW generator.
The boat is fitted with a 250 KW bow thruster and a 90 KW stern thruster. On deck a double drum winch for anchor handling and towing is equipped with a tension meter and a 180-ton holding brake. The boat's stern roller is 1.6 by 4 meters.
