Geislinger received type approval for its recently introduced Vdamp product range by the classification society Det Norske Veritas.
It also facilitates the use of Geislinger Dampers in 2-stroke applications, where the Vdamp protects the propeller or camshaft from damage by torsional vibrations. In such applications the damper is a crucial safety element and has to be classified, contrary to 4-stroke engines, where this is in general not the case.
