Global Crossing Connects Norskan Offshore's Operations in Brazil

Global Crossing has been providing Private IP Network Services and Network Management Services to Norskan Offshore, a Brazilian offshore services provider owned by Norwegian Group DOF, the second largest Norwegian investor in .

Based in , Norskan Offshore has invested nearly $700m in the Brazilian naval industry and currently has six state-of-the-art vessels. Global Crossing's MPLS-based network connects both the shipyards and also the company's headquarters. As part of a three-year contract signed in September 2007, Global Crossing is also providing Network Management Services to Norskan Offshore in four sites in - Botafogo, Ilha do Governador, and Macae.
