Globe Wireless GlobeSwift Yacht Product Line

Friday, January 30, 2009

Globe Wireless has introduced GlobeSwift, a line of communications equipment, airtime, applications and IT services for the yacht market.

Globe Wireless provides communications and IT service for over 9,000 commercial ships.  The GlobeSwift product line brings services to the pleasure yacht market, while recognizing that the requirements of yacht owners and managers are much different than traditional commercial maritime users.

Frank Coles, President and CEO of Globe Wireless said “GlobeSwift offers advanced communication services such as browsing, email and VoIP and is combined with aesthetics and top caliber support.”
He continued, “We can now offer customers a 1M Ku band and 60cm Mini-Ku VSAT systems. Combining this with the Globe i4, which uses traditional Inmarsat or Iridium as a backup for VSAT, means customers have a fully redundant communications system.”

Globe Wireless also provides customers with a full suite of IT and operational applications including GlobeWeather, GlobeForms, and Globe AntiVirus.
