GS-Hydro Names Sauder President N. America

Tuesday, May 18, 2004
Gary Sauder has been named President of GS-Hydro, North America. GS-Hydro is a leading supplier of industrial hydraulic piping that does not require welding. The company designs and supplies piping systems worldwide for the industrial, automotive, marine, offshore oil, and gas markets. It has offices, warehousing, and manufacturing facilities located throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. Sauder’s immediate responsibilities will be to implement a strategic plan to move the U.S. facilities, currently located in Connecticut, to Houston, Texas. The expansion plan is designed to position the operation closer to the company’s growing offshore market base in the Gulf. The Houston location proves to be more centralized in serving other key customer segments as well. Sauder brings a wealth of experience to his new post at GS-Hydro. He has been with Hägglunds for over 20 years, beginning with the company’s service group in Houston from 1983 through 1987, where he was involved in repairs, installations, and start-ups and rose to the position of Service Coordinator.
