Efthimios E. Mitropoulos outlined his agenda for the future as the IMO Council confirmed its support for his continuing to serve the Organization as Secretary-General for another four years. The Council decided by acclamation to renew Mitropoulos's mandate for another four-year term, concluding on 31 December 2011, and to advise the twenty-fifth regular session of the Assembly accordingly, in conformity with Article 22 of the IMO Convention.
