Implementation of Panama Canal ADCS

The Panama Canal Authority issued an Advisory providing further details regarding the upcoming implementation of the Automated Data Collection System (ADCS) for ships transiting the Canal. Commercial vessels planning to transit the Canal must register with the ADCS Administrator. Commencing May 17, all forms must be submitted via EDCS, except for reports on containerized cargo and the passenger and crew lists for cruise ships. Commencing July 1, the two limited exceptions noted above will no longer apply. Advisory 15-2004 (HK Law).
