InPlace Medical Solutions Video Telemedicine

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

InPlace Medical Solutions has secured physician staffing for 24/7/365 services by video telemedicine for its clients. All services are provided by emergency medicine and internal medicine physicians who are board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Internal Medicine.

eCareGroup PLLC, an independent physician group based in Houston, Texas, has developed a team of physicians - all experienced in video telemedicine - to provide services to offshore and remote locations. The eCareGroup physicians provide offshore care via InPlace Medical Solutions video telemedicine systems whenever needed regardless of time of day. To maximize availability, eCareGroup's doctors follow the important premise of the "non-distracted provider" - meaning they have no other duties when providing this service. eCareGroup PLLC is exclusively providing this service to InPlace Medical Solutions.

Shannon Caldwell, executive director of NuPhysicia, LLC, the company that created InPlace Medical Solutions, said, "We believe the eCareGroup, PLLC is the first to offer this advanced level of service in the offshore industry. Doctors are on duty and available 24/7 via live, two-way videoconferencing for InPlace Medical Solutions clients. These doctors stand ready to see patients, diagnose their illness or injury, recommend care and treatment, and prescribe medications when required."

InPlace Medical Solutions' delivery model provides specially qualified medics from the eCareGroup, advanced equipment, medical-quality videoconferencing, and an electronic medical record (EMR) system for recordkeeping. Facilities are supplied with 128 prescription medications, including vaccines and 20 types of antibiotics. Unlike a medic supported by a doctor by telephone, InPlace Medical Solutions' live, two-way videoconferencing allows the doctor to see and talk to the patient. The physician can do examinations with video scopes and a digital stethoscope.

The eCareGroup physicians providing medical services for InPlace Medical Solutions clients have over 135 years of combined medical experience, primarily in the field of emergency medicine. All are board-certified, and some have dual certification in other specialties such as family medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, and nephrology.

In addition, InPlace Medical Solutions, through these retained physicians in the eCareGroup, offers services previously not widely available in remote locations - such as health risk assessments, occupational medicine, preventive care, and health and wellness programs.

"InPlace Medical Solutions brings new capabilities to offshore medical services by providing workers continual access to direct physician attention and high tech medical technology at any remote workplace," Caldwell continued, "This allows offshore companies to improve the health of their workforce, and increase productivity while significantly reducing risks, insurance costs and operating costs."
