Intergraph and The Napa Group to Collaborate

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Intergraph, a provider of engineering and geospatial software, and The Napa Group, a provider of software for the marine industry, plan to improvize the interfacing of each other's shipbuilding and offshore structure software solutions for integration and expanded capabilities.
A mutual arrangement allows the companies to use existing features inherent in their software offerings. Intergraph's SmartMarine Enterprise suite, including its next-generation, data-centric, rules-driven SmartMarine 3D modeling and visualization solution, complements Napa's high-end software systems for stability calculations, hull fairing and basic design operations.
In addition, the two companies will jointly develop new capabilities to accelerate the design, building and operation of ship and offshore structures.
