KPMG Consulting, Inc., announced that it will provide long term program management support to the Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Undersea Weapons Program Office. KPMG Consulting teamed with Anteon Corporation, a leading information technology and engineering solution company, to win the delivery order, which was competed under a multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. KPMG Consulting will be paid $5.7 million for the first year and could receive up to $48.7 million if all options are exercised and award terms are earned and retained. Under the delivery order, KPMG Consulting will be responsible for providing a host of services across the department, including: strategic planning, business process improvement; systems integration; cost estimating; acquisition management; and financial management and budgeting. In addition, KPMG Consulting will work with the department to plan and execute a foreign military sales strategy; launch an armaments cooperative project; and develop a joint program office with the Royal Australian Navy. ``A key component of this award was the superior team that we were able to bring together,'' said Joseph M. Kampf, president and chief executive officer, Anteon Corporation. ``KPMG Consulting brought to the table industry-specific expertise and superior past performance in program management support services.'' ``This award is significant for us because it recognizes KPMG Consulting's global reach and allows us to leverage proven best-practices from around the world. In addition to our U.S. offices, the project will utilize our global resources in Tokyo, Japan and Canberra, Australia,'' said Jim Geiger, senior vice president, federal services, KPMG Consulting.
