L-3 Communications Wins $6.9m Naval Contract

L-3 Communications Westwood Corp., NMP Division, is being awarded a $6.9m fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide Load Center Switchboards in support of LSD-41 and LSD-49 Class Vessels. Work will be performed in Tulsa, Okla., and is expected to be completed by September 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised via the Internet, with two proposals received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-07-D-0011).
