Thursday, September 01, 2005
LCL is pleased to announce that Mr. Hans Christian Jensen will join the USA organization on November 1, 2005. Mr. Jensen (36) has a solid background in shipping as well as logistics. In the early 90’s, Hans Christian began working with J. Lauritzen in Copenhagen. Since 1994, he has worked overseas in Mexico, USA and Brazil, where he held several different positions in operations, chartering and general management within the J. Lauritzen Group.

In 2001, he joined INTTRA Inc. to be responsible for the successful establishment of INTTRA as the leading Ocean Industry Portal in the Latin America Region. Most recently, Mr. Jensen has served as the Managing Director & VP, Latin America Region – INTTRA Inc. Hans Christian will gradually assume the regional management responsibilities for all of North America. LCL is currently partnered with Mrs. Susi Harris in a successful joint venture – Universal Freight Forwarders, Ltd. – with offices in Seattle, Washington as well as in California and Florida. Mrs. Harris will continue to work with Hans Christian to develop USA operations and to offer integrated logistics to the perishable trades in North America and beyond.

LCL Group CEO, Mr. Ole Schack-Petersen comments that this plan for the future will build on the success of UFF, over the last 28 years, and will ensure a continued strengthening of customer and supplier relationships through the years ahead.

Hans Christian will initially be located in Seattle, but expectedly will relocate to southern California in 2006 to increase LCL’s presence there. Our management team today looks as follows:

Mrs. Susi Harris, LCL Regional Manager and Executive Director, UFF Ltd.

Mr. Mike Hirohata, General Manager, UFF Ltd.
