Luis Appointed Engineering Project Manager at Port of Tacoma

The Port of Tacoma recently named Policarpo ("Poli") R. Luis to the position of Engineering Project Manager. Luis brings more than 25 years engineering management experience in local and federal government, telecommunications, commercial, utilities, general engineering, construction and maintenance. Most recently, he was construction project manager for AT&T Wireless Services. He has held other management and engineering positions with Wilbanks Corporation, Whalen And Company, U.S. Windpower, Inc., GTE Sprint Corp. and others. "Poli brings a wealth of technical engineering expertise, and we're very pleased to have him here at the Port of Tacoma," said Mike Adams, Chief Engineer / Director of Engineering. Luis' educational background includes an M.S. in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University (1981), a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology (Manila, Philippines 1968), and a B.S. in Sanitary Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology (1969).
