MITAGS Installs Latest Generation LNG Cargo Simulator

MITAGS has installed the latest generation Kongsberg LNG Cargo Simulator. The twelve-station system simulates both membrane and spherical LNG vessels and will be an integral part of the ten-day Person-in-Charge course, which is U.S. Coast Guard approved. The course also meets applicable standards for the following: U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD). Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Society of International Gas Terminal and Tanker Operators (SIGTTO). The simulator will also be used in a number of other LNG related training courses that have been specifically designed for inspectors and terminal operators. The first class to use the new simulator is scheduled to begin in January 2008.
