The U.S. Navy has awarded Atlantic Dry Dock Corp. of Jacksonville, a contract to provide the shipyard with 14,200 LT floating dry dock Sustain. The contract will create approximately 250 new jobs at the shipyard. Over the next five years, the dock will be available to perform both government and commercial repairs. The dock is expected to be in service by April 2000.
