New Name, Logo and Segment for Fish Expo

Tuesday, July 27, 1999
Fish Expo Seattle, the world's largest commercial fishing event, has undergone a few changes. First, the name has been changed to incorporate another facet of the commercial marine industry. The trade event will now be known as Fish Expo and Workboat Northwest. In changing its name, the convention has updated its logo to encompass a more complete and dynamic view of the commercial marine market. "While Fish Expo has traditionally been a commercial fishing show, and will always serve the commercial fishing community, we want to recognize another important segment of the marine industry," said Tom Archambault, sales manager. "Those people who make their living on the water without catching fish - such as owners, managers and operators of passenger vessels, barges, towboats, tugboats, fire boats and many other working vessels could benefit from seeing the many companies, products, services and educational seminars available at Fish Expo and Workboat Northwest."
