New Scale Model Shop Opens

Randy Skinner long time owner of a premier marine scale model shop in Fairhope, AL comes out of retirement.

The company owned by Mr. Skinner has been known for building quality scale models in the marine industry over the past 20 years. Five years ago Mr. Skinner sold the company and entered into a non-compete contract. The non-compete contract has since expired and Mr. Skinner has opened a new scale model shop, “Maritime Models by Skinner.” Located in Fairhope, AL the new shop will compete with his previous shop in the marine industry. Much of the same advanced equipment has been put in the new shop. Skinner says, “The same quality models I am known for will be built but with a personal attention given to our customers. The shop will be able to build the scale models here in the states for close to the same price of imported lesser quality.”
