NOAA Study Shows Value of PORTS Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a News Release stating that a recent study of operation of the Physical Oceanographic Real-Time System (PORTS) program in Tampa Bay demonstrated that the local economy receives more than $7 million a year in savings and direct income from operation of the program. Among other things, groundings and spills in the bay have decreased substantially since the program was implemented. Source: HK Law
