Noble Energy Wins Offshore SAFE Award

Noble Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NBL) announced that the Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service (MMS) awarded the company the 2009 Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) in the moderate activity operator category for outstanding achievements in offshore safety, environmental protection, and pollution prevention in the Gulf of Mexico.

This is the second year in a row that Noble Energy has won the SAFE award. Winners were announced at the MMS Annual Industry Awards program held in conjunction with the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas on May 7, 2009.

Noble Energy has either won or been a finalist for the SAFE award four out of the last five years for operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
