Possible Relocation of LORAN-C Station

The U.S. Coast Guard issued a Notice stating that it is considering relocation of LORAN-C operations from Port Clarence, Alaska (7960-Z/9990-Y) to Nome, Alaska. This would alter operations and coverage provided by the North Pacific (9990) and Gulf of Alaska (7960) LORAN-C chains. Comments on this possible relocation should be submitted by September 21, 2004. 69 Fed. Reg. 35053 (June 23, 2004).
