Raymarine Announces New Team

Wednesday, September 04, 2002
Raymarine has announced a new global marketing communications team that will provide full worldwide PR coverage and PR support for Raymarine's international network of distributors. The announcement was made by Fiona Pankhurst, global marketing communications manager for Raymarine, Ltd. in Portsmouth, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Pankhurst, who joined the company earlier this year, appointed two of the marine industry's leading PR agencies to handle its communication efforts. The UK-based ADPR Ltd., and the Scottsdale, Arizona-based Walker Agency will be working jointly on a new global PR campaign. The campaign will begin with the launch of the new ST290 instrument system at the Southampton Boat Show in the UK followed by the US introduction at the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis. The Southampton show will also be the worldwide roll-out of the new Raymarine catalog. Raymarine manufactures a wide range of marine electronics including radars, sonars, chartplotters, GPS and navigation software. Raymarine has invested in an extensive product development program the results of which will debut in the United States at the Annapolis show and the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.
