Southwest Marine Awarded Modification to Contract

Southwest Marine Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $14,005,034 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-99-C-2312) to exercise two cost-plus-award-fee options for the accomplishment of the post shakedown availability (PSA) of the USS McCampbell (DDG 85) and USS Preble (DDG 88). This option is for services and material for the total PSA effort that includes engineering and management in support of the PSA, effort and material to perform specified PSA work items inclusive of tests and post report sea trials, additional effort and material to complete emergent work, effort and material to support operational propulsion plant examination and final contract trials and correction of related deficiencies, non-standard equipment and technical manuals. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
