Star Princess Opens in Rotterdam

On May 12 the Star Princess arrived at Rotterdam at 9.30 a.m. With this the Rotterdam cruise season is officially opened. The ship owned by the American shipping company Princess is almost as big as the biggest cruise ship in the world; the Queen Mary 2 and had 2600 passengers aboard. It came from Le Havre and headed for Oslo the same night around seven o’clock. The Star Princess is one of the nine ships owned by Princess calling in at Rotterdam. With this the shipping company becomes the most important client of the cruise port. The total amount of expected cruise ships this year is around twenty. This is a record for the cruise port of Rotterdam. In 2004 seven cruise ships called in at Rotterdam.
