Suez Canal Receipts Increase

Egypt's Suez Canal income rose to $169 million in July from $165.9 million in June and from $149 million in July 1999, the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said in its monthly bulletin. The canal is one of the country's main hard currency earners, along with remittances from Egyptians abroad, tourism and oil exports.
