Communications LLC has appointed John Julian to the newly created position of Project Development Manager and Ewan Robinson as Technical Sales Support Manager. They join Telaurus as the Company moves into the next phase of its international growth, having recently opened a Global Sales & Marketing Office in Bristol, UK. Their appointment reinforces Telaurus' commitment to its customers, and its intention to remain in the vanguard of maritime communications as it continues its rapid growth. John Julian has more than 20 years experience working in the marine software industry first in a University research group and then moving to such companies as MCTS and GN Comtext (later Easylink). Over the last 5 years he has headed a development group tasked with introducing new ship-to-shore communications systems. Ewan Robinson has a wide spread of Maritime and Technical knowledge gained from many years working in the marine environment. Practical experience of military radio communications systems was complimented by a BSc. in Marine Technology and Navigation, specialising in maritime computer applications. Having worked on seismic exploration vessels, he joined GN Comtext in 1999 as a vessel systems engineer, responsible for installing STSW in software and helping the development department test new systems.
