Todd Wins $17M Navy Deal

Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., Seattle Division, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $17,423,000 cost-plus-award-fee option under contract N00024-99-C-8503 for performance of Phased Incremental Availability 2 of the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The option is one of 18 on an existing 5-year contract for non-propulsion work on CVN 68 Class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers homeported in the Pacific Northwest, exclusive of the propulsion plant and exclusive of nuclear spaces and systems. The aim of the contract is to provide year-round maintenance so as to maximize vessel readiness. Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by May 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $17,423,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U.S. Navy, Puget Sound, Bremerton, Wash., is the administrative contracting activity.
