TOP Tankers Slips In 2Q

TOP Tankers Inc. posted a second quarter net loss of $4.91m, or $0.17 per share compared to net income of $13.55m, or $0.49 per share, in the prior year quarter. The company noted that the results for the latest quarter included net charges of $360,000 or $0.01 per share. Voyage revenues for the quarter declined to $56.33m from $69.86m in the previous year.
