Total Offshore Production Vessel to Get Modifications

The Total owned offshore production vessel Girassol is to undergo extensive modifications to raise its output capacity to 230,000 bpd for operation in the Rosa deepwater development offshore Angola. The French oil company has not yet disclosed which shipyard will carry out this work. Total hopes to begin production from the Rosa field in the first half of 2007.
