Unique ECDIS Gets Type Approval

MARIS ECDIS900 is the first ECDIS in the world to receive a type approval certificate using a Flat Panel Computer (FPC). The ECDIS900 is certified to IEC 61774 ed. 2. The ECDIS900 is based on the MARIS SmartLine FPC, the only FPC in the world certified to IEC 60945 for use onboard ships. MARIS ECDIS900 market-share in Scandinavia is almost 100% for commercial vessels (retrofit) since the introduction more than 18 months ago.
