USCG – AIS Alert

The US Coast Guard issued a Safety Alert advising users of new Automatic Identification System (AIS) Class B devices to not assume that they are being ‘seen’ by all other AIS users or that their information is available to all AIS users. Users of out-dated AIS software are advised to update their systems as soon as practicable.
