Wilhelmsen Ships Secures NYK Agreement

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Wilhelmsen Ships Service has secured a Husbandry Service Agreement with NYK LNG Shipmanagement UK, London. The agreement, secured by the company’s UK office, covers five managed vessels on charter to RasGas and is valid for a period of 12 months.

Declan Rate, Business Process Manager for NYK LNG Shipmanagement UK commented on the agreement. “Wilhelmsen Ships Service offers an effective solution for NYK with a focus on operational efficiency and cost reductions. The nature of NYK LNG Shipmanagement UK Ltd's business often consists of major husbandry services taking place in busy LNG ports and terminals. These are also the ports where technical services or bunkering have been traditionally carried out and we believe that by working in partnership with Wilhelmsen Ships Service, NYK LNG Shipmanagement UK Ltd has the ability to generate considerable cost savings and operational efficiency.”
