The Canadian Ferry Operators Association (CFOA) announced its membership in Green Marine, a joint Canada-U.S. initiative aimed at improving the environmental performance of marine companies.

Green Marine was founded in 2007 by major marine industry associations, ports and shipping companies in Canada and the U.S. and its voluntary environmental program encourages participants to improve their environmental performance by undertaking concrete and measurable actions.
