Port 'Goes Green' with Seaport Canaveral's first biodiesel fuel ship

As new regulations go into effect by 2015 mandating more environmentally friendly fuels, Port Canaveral is positioned to become a nationwide `green' leader with the arrival of the first vessel carrying domestically produced biodiesel fuel.

Seaport Canaveral's multi-million infrastructure investment allows for the receipt, blending and distribution of biodiesel fuels at its terminal to meet growing market demand.

Federal renewable fuel standards require the use of biofuels by refiners and importers.
