Brodosplit to Build First Polar Class Cruise Ship

Brodosplit, a ship builder from the Republic of Croatia, has secured an order to build a Polar Class 6 Cruise Ship for an undisclosed client.

By signing this agreement Brodosplit solid progress in the realization of their business plans and the inevitable position of the European shipbuilding system that builds highly complex vessels which achieves high competitiveness, said Tomislav Debeljak, CEO of Brodosplit. The emphasis in this shipbuilding niche is the added value for customers and for the Builder which is the basis for successful business.

The ship will be built in the class LR PC6 (Polar Class 6), which will be the first cruise ship ever built in its class in the world. At its 8 deck will host 196 passengers in 95 cabins of which will look after 69 crew members. The ship will be 107.6 meters long, 17.6 meters wide. Will be driven by two engines with a total output of 4200 kW, and to catch up to the speed of 15 knots.

The ship will be equipped with all necessary solutions and equipment to ensure that passengers can fully visit glaciers above and below sea level, enjoying the observation of this unique biological and animal life from the best perspective. At the board will be placed in the luxury cabins and suites, where they will be secured with multiple systems that serve them, provide a safe and pleasant stay.
