Ecospeed will display the “CLEAN SHIP – EFFICIENT SHIP – GREEN SHIP – PARTNERSHIP” concept during the Europort Exhibition, November 5-8 in Rotterdam. The concept is based on achieving the lowest possible fuel consumption for a vessel during its entire lifetime in an environmental friendly way.

CLEAN SHIP –  Ecospeed can be cleaned rapidly and will only improve in smoothness with each cleaning. The coating can be cleaned underwater without risk of chemical pollution to the environment or of damage to the coating. For these reasons several economically important ports have already overturned the existing general ban on underwater hull cleaning, specifically making an exception for vessels coated with Ecospeed.

EFFICIENT SHIP - The concept is supported by the Ecospeed fuel savings calculator which is available on the Hydrex stand.  The fuel savings calculator shows the absolute lowest total cost of ownership and shortest pay-back period of your Ecospeed hull performance investment based on your vessel operational data. Click here to submit your ship's operational data (less than 3 minutes work) and get your free fuel savings calculation.

GREEN SHIP - Ecospeed offers a TBT-free, copper-free and biocide-free solution for the protection of the underwater hull. In 2008 stringent tests were carried out within the framework of an EU-LIFE demonstration project to provide scientific data and to authenticate the non-toxicity of the Ecospeed hull performance technology. This research proved that the coating is 100% toxin-free and that there is no negative effect on the water quality or the marine environment at any point of its application or use.

PARTNERSHIP – an important part of the concept – covers the in-water cleaning service availability by Hydrex on major shipping routes like the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

Ecospeed representatives will be available to explain the benefits Ecospeed technology. A fuel savings calculation can be made on the stand, or it can be prepared prior to the show if relevant ship operational data is send ahead of time.
