The latest in a long line of luxury power catamarans is about to hit the market in the US - the PC52 by Horizon Power Catamarans.

Popular for cruising the Mediterranean and Caribbean waters, power cats are designed for smooth stability and a level ride even on choppy waters.

“This is what we refer to as a Blue Water cruiser,” Stuart Hegerstrom, spokesperson for Horizon, comments. “It’s been built towards a production style, with the goal being to create a top of the line luxury power cat with an attractive price tag - giving more cruisers the opportunity to experience our award winning quality.”

The PC52 has been modeled after earlier Horizon power catamaran models, and features a highly refined hull design developed from tank tests. The hull length to beam ratio and slenderness ratio have been adjusted and the shallow draft means this power cat is perfect for island hopping.

To date, one PC52 has been sold to an Australian buyer, and two more to US buyers. The luxury power cat will officially debut in the USA at the October 2014 Ft Lauderdale show.
