DAMOS vessel maintenance system certified by Bureau Veritas.

Damen Services, part of Damen Shipyards Group, announces that its Damen Asset Management Operating System (DAMOS) has been independently approved by classification society Bureau Veritas. DAMOS is a unique vessel maintenance management system that allows customers to maximise uptime and optimise cost of ownership.

DAMOS is part of the Damen Services Lifecycle Support System and identifies and categorizes all on-board systems of a vessel. For an efficient maintenance planning cycle, all requirements are drawn from this database. This enables the customers to perform proper maintenance with all relevant maintenance information at their fingertips.

A shipowner can prolong the lifecycle of his fleet and decrease total cost of ownership by using the information from DAMOS. When using a certified DAMOS system, external surveys become faster and easier since the proof of proper maintenance is stored in DAMOS. The last step to a fully certified preventive maintenance system is in the corresponding processes. Damen can deliver, in concept, everything that is needed for a class survey, including fully furnished process descriptions.
