November 25, 2003

A Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew hoisted three fishermen this morning from their disabled vessel that ran aground near Ship Island. Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans was notified at 9:53 a.m. by the crewmembers of the fishing vessel Nautilus, homeported in Pascagoula, Miss., that they had been disabled and adrift since Friday and had recently run aground. A helicopter was dispatched to the scene where the crew lowered a rescue swimmer and basket to the fishing vessel.
