DSME Opens Warship Construction R&D Center

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), which claims to be the world’s second-largest shipbuilder, has opened a research and development center specializing in warships, reports the Korea Times.

The center is compromised of 50 researchers in four groups, who will conduct studies on submarines and warships. In addition, the company plans to strengthen R&D facilities at the center by constructing a dedicate building in Mago, Seoul by 2017.
