Men and women of a range of different nationalities were found inside the locked container at Harwich International Port, UK last night.

Border police are set to quiz sixty-eight suspected illegal immigrants who were found crammed in the shipping container.

Seven people were rushed to hospital and 61 others assessed at the scene by paramedics, who received a tip-off at around 10pm. Two pregnant women were among them.

The remaining 61 have been assessed and handed to UK Border Agency officials.

The nationalities of those people are not known but the 68 people are believed to have been shipped from Holland.

"Although the container is understood to have come from Holland, the people inside were from various different countries," say sources.

An ambulance spokesman said: "The patients who were taken to hospital were suffering from abdominal and chest pains and were feeling faint.  None are in a life-threatening or serious condition."

Last August, one man died when 35 Afghan Sikh migrants were found in a container at Tilbury Docks. They were discovered after dock workers heard banging and screaming coming from one of the containers.
