SAIC Gets USN $21-million Contract

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to provide operational & environmental support to United States Fleet Forces Command (USFF).

The contract with the United States Navy is to provide operational and environmental support for fleet training range complexes for the United States Fleet Forces Command (USFF) and Commander, United States Pacific Fleet. The single-award firm fixed-price contract has a one-year period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $21 million, if all options are exercised.  Work will be performed primarily in Norfolk, Va., Virginia Beach, Va., Kauai, HI, Whidbey Island, Wash., San Diego, Calif., Fallon, Nev., El Centro, Calif, and Guam.

The USFF supports both the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and Combatant Commanders worldwide by providing responsive and sustainable Naval forces. The command provides operational and planning support to Combatant Commanders and integrated warfighter capability requirements to the CNO.  The U.S. Pacific Fleet protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the United States and its allies, and partners in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the contract, SAIC will provide operational and environmental support to USFF and Pacific Command, assisting them to ensure that fleet training requirements are met while strictly adhering to environmental laws, acts, statutes and policies.
