Monjasa Acquires Two Tankers

Monjasa remains active in the market for secondhand tonnage following the acquisitions of three tankers earlier this year. The oil and shipping group on Thursday revealed additional ownership of the two tankers, Monjasa Leader (68,589-dwt) and Monjasa Refiner (13,051-dwt) for floating storage and bunker operations in West Africa.Monjasa recently took delivery of the two vessels Monjasa Leader (formerly Cabo San Antonio) in Algeciras, Spain and Monjasa Refiner (formerly Saturn) in Bremerhaven

Monjasa Begins Bunkering Operations in Singapore

Marine fuels trader and supplier Monjasa announced it has commenced supply operations in the Port of Singapore, the world’s largest bunkering hub.The Danish-based company said its Singapore operation now has one tanker in full service and that it expects to add two more tankers later this year.Morten Østergaard Jacobsen, Managing Director Asia, said, “Coming from 15 years as a trading company in Singapore, Monjasa is all set to embrace this new opportunity of controlling tonnage as well.

MARAD Approves First Ships for Its Tanker Security Program

The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) has approved the first vessels for participation in its Tanker Security Program (TSP), a newly created public-private partnership program that makes U.S.-flag commercial product tankers available to support U.S. armed forces.Modeled from MARAD's Maritime Security Program (MSP), the TSP assures the Department of Defense has access to U.S.-registered product tankers that may be used to supply the armed forces with fuel during times of armed conflict or national emergency.

Partners Test Isotopic Tracer for Marine Biofuels

Monjasa Acquires Tanker for Middle East Operations

Oil and shipping group Monjasa said it has acquired the 9,600-dwt oil and chemical tanker Monjasa Server from Golden-Agri Stena. The 117.6-meter vessel is set for cargo and bunkering operations in the Arabian Gulf by November 2020.Formerly known as the GS Adventure, the 2009-built Monjasa Server joins Monjasa’s marine fuel operations across the Middle East, which currently consist of four tankers ranging between 4,000 and 10,000-dwt.Equipped with deepwell pumps and five tank segregations allowing multiple fuel grades onboard, Monjasa Server increases operational flexibility.

Lindsay‐Blee, Master Fuel Partner in Colombia

Marine fuel company Lindsay‐Blee said Wednesday it has entered into an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with Master Fuel SAS of Cartagena, Colombia.Effective immediately, under the agreement Lindsay‐Blee will manage the sales and marketing of marine fuel products produced by Master Fuel for the Colombian market, including VLSFO (0.50% sulphur max,) HSFO 380 cst, and MGO LS (Max sulphur 0.10%.) Singapore Jails Tanker Captain in Shell Theft Case

Monjasa Expands to Angola

Maersk, DB Schenker to Fight Ocean Pollution

Monjasa Boosts Bunker Volumes by 17%

Global bunker company Monjasa Group boosted sales volume in 2028 reaching 4.1 million metric tonnes of marine fuels, up 17% over its previous year figure of 3.5mt.Despite a continuously challenged maritime shipping industry, 2018 was a good year for the Monjasa. Coupled with the entry of new banking partners and closer relations with oil majors, the Monjasa Group improved its business fundamentals during the year, reporting a positive net result of USD 5mln.Coupled with a higher average Brent oil price of USD 71 per barrel, total revenue increased to USD 2.1bn and the Monjasa Group reported a net result of USD 5m., which is in line with expectations.The Annual Report displays a high solvency ratio of 29% and consolidated group equity of USD 121m.Anders Østergaard

ScanOcean, Neste Pact for Low-Sulfur Bunker Fuel

PetroChina Ships first Gasoline Cargo to Canada
