Wednesday, May 28, 2014

A fee of USD 2000 is being charged for the safe deposit of weapons on board trading ships during entry to Yemeni ports, to be deposited 72 hours prior to arrival.

In parallel, the Director of Operations and the National Center for Fighting Piracy must be informed of:
• Names of persons permitted to have weapons inside the ship, their capacity and copies of their passports; and
• The license of the security company, its location and the number of its protection members.

The above information is to be communicated to  the Coast Guard by the
ship's agent prior to arrival.
