Acquisition of Seattle-based warehousing and transportation provider adds Northwest Gateway to Port Logistics Group's national footprint.

Port Logistics Group , a provider of gateway logistics services, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Pacific Distribution Services, a regional warehousing and transportation provider serving the ports of Seattle and Tacoma.  The acquisition adds 600,000 square feet of multi-client warehouse space and several new national retail clients to Port Logistics Group's U.S. gateway logistics presence.

Dale Scott, the former President and Owner of Pacific Distribution Services, will continue to lead his team as the General Manager of the Seattle/Tacoma gateway for Port Logistics Group.  "We believe this change is very positive for our customers, as we can combine the personal service and local knowledge they've come to expect with the size, scope and national footprint of Port Logistics Group."

Pacific Distribution Services provided warehousing, distribution, transportation, and value-added logistics services for over 60 years to customers in the Seattle/Tacoma port region.  Its client base of national retailers and retail manufacturers includes companies in the apparel, footwear, housewares, furniture and coffee business.

With the addition of more than 600,000 square feet of distribution space in two facilities in Sumner, WA, Port Logistics Group now operates over four million square feet of distribution space in key gateway locations around the country.
