Wärtsilä To Supply for Massive SemiSub Heavy Lift Vessel

Wärtsilä  has been awarded the contract to supply a total propulsion package for a new semi-submersible heavy lift vessel. With an overall length of 270 m, this ship is the largest of its type ever to be built. The scope of supply for the contract specifies two Wärtsilä 6L38 engines and two Wärtsilä 12V38 engines for the ship's main propulsion, and one Wärtsilä 6L20 auxiliary engine. Wärtsilä will also supply the reduction gear system, two controllable pitch propellers, two retractable thrusters and one bow thruster. The equipment has been ordered by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.

Dockwise $30M in Heavy Marine Transport Contracts

Dockwise has signed a contract for $25m, with an affiliate of Chevron U.S.A. Inc. regarding the transportation of the Jack & St. Malo hull from Korea to the Gulf of Mexico. It is the intention of the parties that this contract - already included in the Q3 backlog as a Letter of Intent (LOI) - will be executed on the new T-0 vessel. Another LOI published earlier this year, for the transportation of the topside for ATP's Cheviot from the fabrication yard in China to Europe and the associated float-over, was also converted into a firm contract with Bluewater Industries for a total contract value of approximately $40m. The transportation of the hull for ATP Cheviot was already awarded to Dockwise by Bluewater Industries as a separate contract in an earlier stage. In addition Dockwise Ltd.

Master Marine Completes Jack-Up L205

The project teams of Nymo Yards and Master Marine recently presented Jack-Up L205. The vessel arrived Eydehavn in Norway on August 2 for hook up and final commissioning before mobilizing for Ekofisk Field and the client ConocoPhillips. The vessel will be the North Sea’s largest jack up accommodation unit with 447 single cabins. It has been customized and outfitted to meet ConocoPhillips and the authorities’ requirements for a state-of-the-art accommodation unit on Ekofisk field. This delivery marks an important milestone in the history of Master Marine. It is the first of two innovative jack-up construction vessels that the company ordered in 2007. The L205 has been transported to Norway by Dockwise Shipping B.V.’s heavy lift vessel Treasure.

Dockwise Backlog Update

Dockwise Ltd. announced that contracts have been secured by its subsidiary Dockwise Shipping. Next to an engineering assignment, the transportation of a semi- submersible rig, a jack- up rig and river barges for a value of $20m were signed for the short term. For execution in 2012 Dockwise received a Letter of Award for the transport and installation by means of a float over of a large offshore production platform in the Far East for a value of $45m. Dockwise has been contracted to transport drilling rigs to Australia and Rotterdam respectively. The bulk of the rig contract work is for completion within the first half of 2010. Total contract revenues are expected to be approximately $20m.

Dockwise, Major Offshore Float-Over

Dockwise Ltd, announced that, through its subsidiary, it has successfully performed the $33m complete transport and float-over installation of 19,000mT MDPP offshore production platform for CPOC located at the JDA Block B-17, C-19 and B-17-01. Dockwise is the main contractor for CPOC, the operator. Since the contract was awarded in August 2007, Dockwise's multi-disciplined project team has been dedicated to the execution of this complete transportation and installation float-over project under the direction of the company's Senior Project Manager, Aart van den Hoonaard. Mighty Servant 3 Rejoins Dockwise Fleet

Dockwise Ltd, announces that, through its subsidiary the fully renewed and reinstated Mighty Servant 3 has rejoined the fleet of Dockwise. The vessel has been under repair at the Grand Bahama Shipyard since January, 2008. The entire vessel has been rebuilt beginning with the steel hull. New machinery, electrical systems and equipment have been installed to the latest standards and designs, using the original functionality and foot print. "This is a reinstatement project in a magnitude that has never been performed before - no one has ever taken a vessel submerged in 50 meters of seawater for 5 months and brought her back to service. This has been a very unique project," stated Eugène van Dodeweerd, Manager Fleet Supervision Quality & Safety of Dockwise Shipping B.V..

Dockwise Appoints Wit CFO

Dockwise Ltd. announces that its subsidiary Dockwise Shipping has appointed Peter Wit as its Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1 2009. Wit, who has a master degree in business administration from Groningen University, and a (post doctorate) degree in controlling from VU Amsterdam, will lead the company's global finance, legal and information technology departments. Wit has always been employed by Shell and is currently Chief Operations Officer and Finance manager of Shell Asset Management Company, Shell's $40b in-house pension asset management firm. Previously he worked for Shell a.o. as VP finance of Shell's Solar business, in corporate finance and as head of finance of Shell's Albanian oil exploration venture.   (www.dockwise.com)

Dockwise Secures $63 in Contracts

Dockwise Ltd. announced eleven near-and longer term contracts awarded to its subsidiary, Dockwise Shipping, for the transportation of jack-up drilling rigs, semi submersible rigs and port & marine infrastructure. Total revenues for the contracts are approx $63m, adding $33m to the backlog end of Q1 2009. Dockwise Shipping, in company with industry partners, is to transport the jack up drilling rigs COSL Craft, Shelf Explorer (forth and back), Seajacks Leviathan and Gorilla III to their new assignments in China, Sakhalin, Netherlands and Canada respectively. On behalf of various clients, Dockwise Shipping has been contracted to transport four cranes, dredging equipment, a jack up working platform and an accommodation barge to USA, Equatorial Guinea, Egypt and Angola respectively.

Dockwise Secures $42m in Contracts

Dockwise Ltd. announced nine near-term contracts awarded to its subsidiary, Dockwise Shipping, for the transportation of a jack-up drilling rig, dredging equipment, military and various other cargoes. Total revenues for the contracts, including the previously announced first quarter transportation of the HMS Endurance, are approx $42m. Dockwise Shipping, in company with industry partners, is to transport the drilling rig Soraya to its new assignment in Thailand. On behalf of various clients, Dockwise Shipping has been contracted to transport three dredging cargoes to Japan, Angola and Bahrain, various barges to Angola and Nigeria, cranes and gantries to United Arabic Emirates as well as a project for the Canadian navy. All projects are for execution in the first half of 2009.

Dockwise, $42m in Near-term Contracts

Dockwise Ltd. announced eight near-term contracts awarded to its subsidiary, Dockwise Shipping, for the transportation of jack- up drilling rigs, dredging equipment and various other cargoes. Total revenues for the contracts are approx $42m. Dockwise Shipping, in company with industry partners, is to transport the drilling rigs Great Drill Chetna, Seajacks Kraken, Ocean Quest, and Offshore Intrepid to their new assignments in India, Halifax, Brazil and the Arabian Gulf respectively. On behalf of various other clients and turning to more varied cargo, Dockwise Shipping has been contracted to transport a dredging cargo to Japan, accommodation jack-ups to Rotterdam, Derrick and jack-up barges to Angola and Rotterdam as well as patrol boats to Italy.

Dockwise Secures $45m in Contracts

Dockwise Ltd. announced nine near and midterm contracts awarded to its subsidiary, Dockwise Shipping, for the transportation of jack- up and semi submersible drilling rigs, dredging equipment and various other cargoes. Total revenues for the contracts are approx $45m. On behalf of Noble Drilling, Dockwise Shipping is to transport the drilling rig Noble Roy Butler to its new assignment in the Gulf of Mexico. Following the recent announcement that Dockwise had been contracted to transport the Noble Carl Norberg to the same location, both jack-up rigs will travel in a single journey aboard the same vessel, thus optimizing mobilization time and cost. On behalf of various other clients, Dockwise Shipping will transport three jack-up drilling rigs to Malaysia, China, and Dubai.

Dockwise Contracts & Financials

Dockwise concludes $84M Vyborg/Shtokman Contract

Dockwise Ltd. announces that through its subsidiary, Dockwise Shipping B.V., it has been contracted by Vyborg Shipyard to transport two topside structures from Korea to the Barents Sea and to install the units on semi-submersible hulls, using the float-over technique. Dockwise will receive $84M over the three year contract, with the revenue contributing immediately to fourth quarter 2008 cashflows. Dockwise Wins Military Contracts

Dockwise Ltd. announces that its subsidiary Dockwise Shipping has entered into contracts with the Spanish naval shipyard Navantia for the transport of two Canberra-class amphibious helicopter carriers (LHD) and with the Russian naval shipyard Zvezda for the transport of two nuclear powered submarines. Navantia, located in Ferrol, Spain, a naval shipyard, is building the two LHD's for the Australian Navy. The hull of the vessels and its outfitting will, to a large extend be completed by the Spanish yard. The final construction, outfitting and commissioning will be performed by Australian contractors. In this arrangement the transport to Melbourne on the deck of a semi submersible transport vessel is the preferred option.

Dockwise Awarded Contract

Dockwise Ltd. has been awarded to their subsidiary Dockwise Shipping for the transportation from China to New Caledonia of 18 onshore modules including an extended engineering and associated services scope. The contract was awarded by Hatch-Technip on behalf of Koniambo Nickel SAS, a joint venture owned by Xstrata Nickel and Société Minière du Sud Pacifique (SMSP). Hatch-Technip, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has been appointed as main contractor. The transportation of the modules is scheduled for late 2009, early 2010 and will be performed as multiple consecutive voyages by the new Dockwise T-class vessels. The modules fabricated in China, will be loaded at the yard of CNOOC's construction company COOEC at Qingdao, China. The modules will be offloaded in Vavouto, New Caledonia.

New contracts for Dockwise

Dockwise Shipping was awarded contracts for the transportation of one of the largest semi submersible drilling rigs and various floating equipment. Dockwise Shipping will transport the new build sixth generation semi submersible drilling rig Noble Dave Beard in 2009 as well as various floating docks and other equipment in 2008. The total value of the contracts is approximately $18m.

Perdido Truss Spar Delivered

Dockwise Ltd. said that the Perdido Truss Spar was safely delivered by the semi-submersible vessel Mighty Servant 1 on Friday 27 June 2008. The Spar was skidded on board the vessel on 19 May 2008 in Pori, Finland by Dockwise Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dockwise Ltd.; and was successfully transported to Ingleside, Texas. Dockwise was contracted on June 1st 2006 by Technip Offshore Inc. for the safe execution of all aspects of the delivery of the 20,956 tons heavy sparbuoy. The total height of the spar is 173.3 meters. The buoy diameter measures 35.97 meters. New contracts for Dockwise

Dockwise Ltd. announced that three new contracts have been awarded to their subsidiaries Dockwise Shipping and ODL for the transportation of a semi submersible drilling rig, for the transportation of the hull of a production platform and for a FEED study of a jacket design respectively. Dockwise Shipping will transport the Noble Jim Day, a large sixth (6th) generation semi submersible drilling rig in 2009. The rig is currently under construction in Singapore. With the number of these large new design semi submersibles under construction still increasing, the contract for the Noble Jim Day is seen as an important development. Dockwise will also transport the hull for ATP Oil & Gas Corporation's Cheviot project currently being constructed in China.

Dockwise Ltd. announced that five contracts have been awarded to their subsidiary Dockwise Shipping for the transportation of three drilling rigs and two voyages with dredging equipment. Dockwise Shipping will transport miscellaneous dredging equipment for Van Oord Dredging & Marine Contractors and Jan de Nul as well as the jack-up drilling rigs Petrojack II, Aban VIII and Deep Driller IV in 2008. The new build Jack-up drilling rigs Petrojack II and Aban VIII are currently being completed in , whereas the Deep Driller IV will be relocated. All contracts contribute to the Dockwise strategic objective to materially expand activities in both rig transport (core business) and transport of offshore production facilities. The total value of the contracts is close to USD 18 million.

Dockwise Awarded Four Contracts

Dockwise announced that their subsidiary Dockwise Shipping was awarded four contracts for the transportation of drilling and production equipment. Dockwise Shipping will transport jack-up drilling rigs Transocean Nordic, Murmanskaya and Atwoord Aurora within 2008. The PetroProd CJ 70 production rig is currently under construction at Jurong Shipyard in and is scheduled for delivery in the 3rd quarter of 2010. The PetroProd unit is one of the world's largest production jack-up rigs, with legs of more than 200 m height and with a weight of approx. 33,000 tons. All contracts contribute to the Dockwise strategic objective to materially expand activities in both rig transport (core business) and transport of offshore production facilities.
