SINWA announced financial results for its 2nd quarter ended June 30, 2015. The group reported a 7.4 percent year-on-year increase in total revenue to S$40.8 million for 2Q2015. This was due to the growth in customer base and increased sales volume from existing customers for the marine and offshore supply business. Gross profit also increased by 7.7 percent year-on-year to S$9.7 million, in line with revenue growth with gross profit margin remaining relatively constant at 23.8 percent. The group’s net profit attributable to equity holders increased 22 percent to S$2.6 million in 2Q/2015.

The Navsim Services and Transas Americas Team, have been awarded contracts for supply of a combination of full mission, classroom and cloud based Transas Technical simulation (TechSim) solutions for the State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College. The full mission and classroom systems are being procured to meet forthcoming new United States Coast Guard (USCG) National Maritime Center (NMC) training requirements, and include multiple models from the Transas library with the latest functional capabilities of the Transas TechSim platform.

The U. S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works, a subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD) , a $15.9m modification to a previously awarded contract for procurement of long-lead material and engineering, production and related support services associated with the construction of DDG 1001. The original contract was awarded in February 2008. Work encompassed by this modification is expected to be completed by July 2010. Bath Iron Works is the lead designer and builder for the Navy's DDG 1000 Zumwalt-class program and employs approximately 5,600 people. A leader in surface combatant design and construction, Bath Iron Works has manufactured and delivered 31 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, the most technologically advanced surface combatant in the world, to the Navy since 1991.

Expro, an international oilfield service company, announced that it has been awarded a surface testing and subsea landing string service contract from EnCana Corporation for work offshore Halifax, Nova Scotia. The six-month contract will provide support for the construction of four development wells in the Deep Panuke field and includes the provision of surface well test and landing string equipment and related support services. The preparatory work has been completed and the equipment has been delivered to Nova Scotia for deployment to the field once operations commence using the jack-up rig Rowan Gorilla III. A 10K landing string has been custom-designed to facilitate operations from a jack-up rig involving subsea completions.

Donjon Marine, Co., Inc., was contracted by the U.S. Navy, Office of the Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV), as requested by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide dredging and related support services for the return of the Ex-USS Intrepid to its permanent berth located at Pier 86, Manhattan, New York. Resurgence Software, Inc., and maintenance optimization software for the maritime industry, announced today an agreement to provide its Wave Equipment Optimization System and related support services to Northrop Grumman Ship Systems (NGSS). This comprehensive license agreement, with the Integrated Logistics Support group of NGSS' Full Service Operations, includes installation and use of the Wave system by NGSS along with their subcontractors during the construction phase of U.S. Navy ships being built in the company's LPD 17 Program. The Wave system complies with the military's requirement for a Failure and Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) under MIL-STD-2155. This military standard is part of the general requirements and specific tasks for reliability programs.

The people of Palmer Johnson Yachts and family, friends and colleagues from around the world are mourning the loss of Chairman Emeritus Mike Kelsey, Sr., who died Sunday, July 21. Mike Kelsey, Sr., was large responsible for building the company into one of the world’s leading custom yacht brands, as a yacht builder and also a provider of yacht refit/repair services, brokerage, chandlery and related support services. Kelsey’s son, Mike Kelsey, Jr., who is now worldwide director of sales for the company, said “I am so lucky to have had him for a dad and teacher. He taught so many people about our business. Phil Friedman, current president and CEO of Palmer Johnson, said that Mike Kelsey represented the true spirit of Palmer Johnson. “We’re all very saddened,” he said.

Xerox Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $19,409,029 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for ship board copiers, print ship equipment, and related support services to the entire Navy fleet. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total value of this contract to $ 93,892,161. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va.; Mayport, Fla.; San Diego, Calif.; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Puget Sound, Wash.; Pascagoula, Miss.; Manama, Bahrain; and Yokosuka, Japan, and work is expected to be completed in September 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via posting to Navy Electronic Commerce On-line, with one offer received.
