ESAB Cutting Systems is exhibiting a wide range of their innovative products at Fabtech 2012 expo in Las Vegas. The Avenger X large gantry CNC cutting system will be the centerpiece of ESAB Cutting Systems display. The rugged, accurate Avenger X is the flagship machine in ESABÂ’s wide range of automated cutting machines, and is available with straight cutting tools, bevel cutting tools, and plate marking systems. The Avenger X will be plasma bevel cutting on ESABÂ’s exclusive Continuous Cleaning Downdraft table. The Avenger X will also be equipped with the Plasma VBA Global , the latest plasma bevel cutting system from ESAB.
ESAB Introduces SVHC for Plasma Arc Cutting
ESAB Cutting Systems continues its long history of plasma cutting system innovation with the new Smart Voltage Height Control (SVHC) system. SVHC improves plasma cut quality and maximizes plasma consumable life by automatically compensating for electrode wear. By integrating a number of plasma and CNC features that have existed for many years, this new system lets plasma users receive maximum value from their cutting machines, improving performance and driving down the total cost of production.
ESAB Introduces Vision T5c Control for Retrofits
ESAB Cutting Systems introduces the Vision T5c Control for retrofit onto cutting gantries. This updated version of ESAB’s Vision T5 CNC is re-packaged for quick and easy installation in place of existing Vision controls on ESAB cutting gantries. Designed for ease of use and improved productivity, the Vision T5c features an ergonomic, wide-screen layout and an advanced touch-screen interface that offers twice the display area of other CNC controls, as well as unique process control features designed to simplify operation and boost productivity.
Ashland Drew Marine Releases New Catalog
Ashland Specialty Chemical Company's Drew Marine announced the release of the 6th edition of its Welding and Refrigeration Products catalog. The 41-page illustrated English-language catalog contains nearly 600 specialty products. Products comprise gas and arc welding and cutting equipment, including new AMERARCTM MSTW and GTSW arc welding machines, brazing consumables, and plasma cutting. The catalog also features innovative developments in Central Gas Installation Systems, such as the new design of MANY-FLOW gas distribution.
Drew Marine and ESAB Form Alliance
Ship operators will gain the benefits of leading technology from the world's largest manufacturer of welding and cutting equipment and consumables as the result of a new alliance between Ashland Specialty Chemical Company's Drew Marine Division and ESAB Welding & Cutting Products. According to the alliance agreement, Drew Marine will supplying ESAB stick and covered electrodes in bulk for shipboard maintenance, repair and steel renewal projects. The agreement also formalizes the companies' intent to explore other areas of mutual interest with the expectation of significantly expanding the range of proven ESAB solutions that will become available for marine use through Drew Marine's global distribution and support network.
